    The OrienBites Chicken Gyoza are a premium take on the popular Asian dumplings. The Gyoza is a Japanese dish, but it is thought to be based on an ancient Chinese style of dumpling eaten in rural China for thousands of years. The Japanese were inspired by this, and amended the recipe over time, resulting in the modern Gyoza, now seen as a trendy product in Europe.

    Our Chicken Gyoza are made in a traditional way, resulting in an authentic Japanese-style product. The handmade dough skins are filled individually with a flavour-packed, halal mixture of chicken and various Asian-style vegetables and spices such as cabbage, onion, chives, and more. The mixture is tied together with Saké, the traditional Japanese rice liquor, to give it an even more authentic taste.

    The texture of each Gyoza is delicate and tender, but their high-quality means they will not break easily when cooking. The 20g-sized portion size makes them the perfect Asian finger food for events such as parties and buffets and they are ideal products for caterers, hotels, and, in particular, restaurants. In just a few minutes, they can be ready to serve up and be enjoyed.

    All of the ingredients are certified by our Clean Label, meaning they are free from artificial flavour enhancers like MSG or chemical processing, and you know you’re getting quality you can trust every time.

    Cooking Instructions

    Steam: Place the frozen gyoza in a steamer. Steam for 6-7 minutes until core temperature is above 60°C.

    Pan fry: preheat one spoon of oil in a non stick pan. Place the frozen gyoza on the pan allowing space between each piece. Sizzle for approx. 2 minutes until the botten of the gyoza is slighly charred. While the pan is hot, add 100 ml water in the pan (caution: oil may splash). cover the pan and cook for approx. 5 minutes until the water has evaporated. Gently remove the gyoza and serve immediately.

    Steam & Fry: Steam the gyoza in a steamer for 3 minutes. Finish the cooking by frying in a frying pan at 140-150°C until the gyoza just begin to turn a golden brown.
