Gua Bao, otherwise known as steam rolls, are a ubiquitous food around many parts of Asia and massively popular in Taiwan as street food. They’ve also seen a huge boom in popularity around Europe in recent years. The OrienBites version takes the classic Gua Bao and brings it to the European market in an easy-to-prepare, economical form.
Available in either the 20g or 40g sizes, each box contains pre-steamed rolls, frozen to seal in the freshness. The incredibly versatile product can simply be thawed, then finished off with the chef’s choice of Asian filling – we recommend our Torpedo Shrimp and Japanese Yakitori – and served up.
The snack-sized portions are convenient to eat by hand, and are great as a snack, side dish or part of a main course. They’re the perfect choice for caterers, food trucks, cafeterias, buffets and restaurants, and our range of two different sizes only adds to the convenience.

Preparation Instructions & Basic Ingredients
Steam: Remove packaging and place the frozen buns in a steamer. Steam for 5 minutes at a medium heat.
Microwave: Remove packaging and place the frozen buns in a microwave dish with a small amount of water. Cook for 1.5 minutes on medium power.
WHEAT flour, water, sugar, corn oil, emulsifier (mono-and diglycerides of fatty acids), baking powder (calcium sulphate, sodium bicarbonate, disodium dihydrogen pyrophosphate, sodium carbonate, calcium dihydrogen phosphate, potassium bitartrate, glucono-delta-lactone, citric acid, corn starch), instant dry yeast (yeast, sorbitan monostearate, ascorbic acid), defatted SOYbean powder, steamed bread improver (sodium stearoyl lactate, glycerol monostearate, ascorbic acid, xylanase, lipase, alpha-amylase, glucose oxidase, corn starch, SOYbean protein).
